We had seven cyclists brave the drizzle and cooling temperatures to participate in the 1st annual MLK Celebration Ride. We toured over 10 significant civil rights sites in downtown Greenville and discussed the historical events at each one. Lunch was at OJ’s Diner. Everyone enjoyed the ride and local history lessons and several asked if we would repeat it next year.
Thanks to my rides/touring co-director, Don Hudson, who helped pull off this event in a mere 18 hours from idea conception to the event. Come join us next year and stay tuned for our next Spinners ride event.
