Saturday July 25th 10:00AM Cleveland Park Zoo Entrance
Join us Saturday July 25th for a Spinners Hot Dog Ride and Special Celebration. This is a easy going social ride that includes lunch (you pay) and some moderate effort.
We leave the Cleveland Park Zoo entrance at 10:00 AM and ride up to Duke’s Doggs in Travelers Rest. Here we will enjoy a world famous Nathan’s hot dog plate. They offer veggie options too!
Afterward we will ride to the very end of the Swamp Rabbit trail then head down White Horse Road Extension turning onto Tubbs Mt. Rd. After a short climb we get treated to an almost 1.2 mile downhill with great views of Paris Mt. to our right. The downhill goes on and on. We then get back on the trail and head back to the zoo.
Total mileage will be about around 30. You need to be able to ride the distance and do some light climbing to have a fun ride.
Special Celebration – while enjoying lunch at Dukes Dogs you are welcome to join in on a special party for a long time Spinners member who is celebrating a 70th birthday. Stick around and help us wish Steve Yetman a happy 70th. This is a special event for Greenville Spinners Members. Others can participate but will ride at their own risk. Helmets are required by all participants. We ride together as a group and will regroup as needed. There is some moderate climbing up Tubbs Mt. Riders are responsible for their own lunch cost. Signed waivers are required to ride.
