What a great ride on Jan. 2nd.  We had near perfect weather with sunny blue sky and temps raising to the mid 50’s by afternoon.  Mitch (the SAG driver) counted over 200 riders leave the back gate.

See all images and one video from this years event (including the friendly deer Ruger):

Many folks left early before the official start so my estimate is about 225 folks participated.

Don Hudson tallied up these statistics:

25 folks either renewed their membership or became new Spinners members

$734 in donations for the Safety Foundation, several very generous folks wrote $100 checks – so super thank-you to them!

One person donated two new helmets to the Safety Foundation.

One special treat on the ride (a smell the roses moment) is when my riding group came upon a friendly deer on Pumpkintown Rd.  The deer had a collar with a bell on it.  A postman came by and said a nearby resident had “Ruger” as a pet.  It was fun petting and observing Ruger!  Glad we weren’t riding to fast to miss this treat!

Lynn and Andre once again did a super job handling the break near Table Rock Park – the hot tea and coco were a nice touch!

Mitch Miller and guest Alton were the SAG drivers.

Nancy Wolfe, director of the Safety Foundation was the ride director this year.

Thanks to Don Hudson, Steve Yetman and the Membership Team for helping at registration.
