Join us for our 6th annual fundraising event,The Ride to the Rock, on September 22, 2018. Get ready to take in the beautiful scenic views that the Foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains have to offer: all the while challenging yourself to complete tough mountain climbs. Sponsored by The Pickens Rotary Club, the ride begins in Pickens and challenges riders with 3 routes to choose from:
40k*, 60K, and 100K rides.
The 2018 ride will start at 114 W Main Street, Pickens SC and travel north to Highway 11. On the ride you will see amazing views of Table Rock Mountain and be challenged by the uphill ascents and curvy roads.
For 2018 the 40k and the 60k routes will be the same as in the past. However,the Metric Century will climb Highway 178 to the continental divide and the Red Lion Inn near Rosman, NC before returning to Pickens.
The rides are fully supported with a SAG vehicle and rest stops. Day of ride registration begins at 8am and the ride will start at 9am.
This year we will have a beer garden with live music by the Corey Stevenson Band to enjoy. All riders will receive a complimentary post ride BBQ meal from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm
A complimentary t-shirt will be included for all pre-registered riders.
