Thanks to everyone who came out and raced as well as all the volunteers who made the Greenville Spinners first time trial of the season happen. The weather was a factor with an early start time being better. For those who were out in the wind and rain — we made some memories tonight! For questions or comments, contact Jeff Michenfelder at [email protected].

Storm the Gates is an event designed to help connect the biking community of Greenville, SC while impacting a local cycling charity. With the crew from Freehub Bicycles hosting the event this is bound to be a great time!
Think “cycle-a-thon” now amp that thought up 10 fold!
During this event one local cyclist will be attempting the Knight of Sufferlandria Quest from The Sufferfest training program by Wahoo fitness. As AJ Kingdom works his way through this quest, turbo trainers and exercise bikes will be available to join in on the fun for a leg or two, who knows a local celebrity may even join you on your section. Simply sign up for a time to ride, make your donation, ride at the event and receive a great swag bag in return. (Donations can be made in advance HERE or in the form of Cash on the day. Suggested donation is $10 per rider per leg, but free free to donate what you feel is appropriate). The best part is 100% of your donation is being sent to our 2021 charity:

Ladies Night, all level road ride on Monday nights at 5:30pm.
Angela’s vision for this group is to build a community of women cyclists in a non-competitive, no drop ride. For the beginner, it’s a chance to meet other women and learn group riding skills. For experienced/racers, it’s a recovery ride and a chance to give back by encouraging beginners. For all, it’s social!
A couple of minimum requirements to participate to make the ride comfortable for all: no mountain bikes as it will be nearly impossible to keep up with the group. Hybrids with smooth, skinny tires is fine. You should be able to ride 15 miles at your pace.
Any questions, feel free to message Angela Schmidt (via Facebook).

Support your fellow cyclists.
Our SCTAC/Donaldson Tuesday evening rides start at 6:00 pm and feature a ride for most speed ranges. Our C rides (country road rides) are non-competitive group rides. In our country route group ride will follow all SC state motor vehicle laws. We do not run stop signs or red lights.
We regroup at these places and let all cyclist drink and refuel if needed. We have signs indicating the different speed groups (described below). Five to to ten minutes before 6:00 pm, find your speed group and get ready for a great ride. Each group has experienced ride leaders that escort each group on their course.
