Weekly Local Rides

The SCTAC rides have begun! Rides leave at 6PM sharp with the C20 group, followed by C18, C16 and the C12 groups, along with the A and B rides.

NOTE: We are looking for ride leaders to help us make this a safe and fun ride for all. If you’re interested in becoming a Certified Spinners ride leader, please contact Dan McNamara and put RIDE LEADER in the subject line.

If you need specific ride information, you can also email Dan at using standard ride information in subject line. Please support the Spinners organization and join today!

WE WOULD REALLY LIKE FOR ALL SCTAC RIDERS TO BE MEMBERS. It's a small price for the best and largest Cycling club in the Upstate!

We are also adding another benefit this year: Cool Mama's Ice Cream Truck before and after the ride. Please support this. Jessica, owner of Cool Mama's, is donating a percentage of the sales which will help pay for the expenses of the weekly ride.

There is no other ride like SCTAC. You arrive a stranger but leave a friend. Cycling brings folks together and SCTAC is where they all meet. The ride meets every Tuesday from April 2nd through the fall. It's important that you respect the group average speeds listed for the group you ride with.

We are working to make the "C" group experience better for all and are in the process of implementing some changes and are looking for ride leader volunteers. Please contact Dan McNamara at if you can be a ride leader. Dan will coordinate leaders in an effort to make your "C" group ride a safe one and a success!

Parking is located on Augusta Arbor Way, download Map for details.
Please do NOT  park in front of the businesses along Augusta Arbor Way and Akron Drive. These businesses ask that we do NOT park on their grass along these roads. Many of these business owners are willing to let you park in designated parking spaces, but please stay off their grass. Please help us communicate this information to everyone. It is critical that we maintain a positive relationship with our neighbors at SCTAC, so we must respect their wishes to stay off their grass. You are permitted to park in the grass along the vacant lots on the East side of Augusta Arbor Way. This is the same side of Augusta Arbor Way as the Greenville Spinners fenced parking area (where the portable toilets are located). We actually prefer that everyone park in the Spinners Parking Lot to avoid any issues with local businesses.

Swamp Rabbit Trail Night Ride
Every Sunday Night @ 7:30 PM | Zoo Entrance at Cleveland Park, Greenville, SC | 24 Miles
Is your ride getting a little boring? Dare to try something different? The answer is the Swamp Rabbit Trail Night Ride! We gather in Greenville's Cleveland Park near the zoo entrance and take off into the darkness at 7:30 PM each Sunday evening, weather permitting. We ride about 12 miles to Travelers Rest which is our turnaround point then return to the zoo. Be sure to have two hour front and rear lights as it does get dark in the deep woods. We stay together so you can look back or forward and see a long row of lights. Helmets and a signed waiver required to ride. Ride Leaders: Ken Drescher and Don Hudson

Swamp Rabbit Ice Cream Ride

Every Sunday @ 2:00 PM | Cleveland Park (near the zoo entrance)

Join us for an ongoing Sunday Swamp Rabbit trail ride. We leave the park at 2:00 PM and ride on the Swamp Rabbit Trail up to Travelers Rest to either the Trailside Creamery or Forest Coffee Shop depending on the time of year. Then we pedal back to the park. It is about 12 miles to TR and 12 miles back. This is a fun ride where speed is not a factor. You simply ride at your own pace. This is an all inclusive ride - everyone is welcome! Helmets and a signed waiver are the only requirements. Click here for more info. View video about the Swamp Rabbit. The ride is announced by Spinners Google group or email
