(Simpsonville) Davenport Rd bicycle lanes

as said, bike lanes considered for the widening and traffic-calming - as well as resurfacing - of Davenport Rd. i have a history of volunteering (successfully), and would like to help do some work. i have no contacts in the city government....if anyone has any contacts or experience, please let me know.

there has already been a petition by residents along this road that indicated need for traffic-calming. maybe another petition for bike lanes?

BTW, i live in Simpsonville right across the highway from Davenport, and commute over the highway and down around Fairview Rd since Bike to Work Week of this year. i've seen an increase in bike-riding.

if you are in the Simpsonville area or along this road, please let me know if you would like to see bike lanes. i know some people do not agree with them, but i would like a response even if you only say that you disagree or are not interested.
