Packs Mountain Ride - 42 miles (note date change)
Saturday May 3rd | 10:00AM | Bilo E. North St. at Haywood Rd
Not many notice, but there is a neat ridge between Greenville and Glassy Mt. called Packs Mountain. The ridge rises maybe 700 feet from the surrounding terrain. This ride begins in Greenville and routes the riders by beautiful Lake Robinson before climbing the west side of Packs Mt. There is a break set up at the Lake Robinson Park that you may use on your way out to Packs mountain and back to Greenville. Note, this is not a severe climbing ride so even if you have moderate skills come on out and enjoy. This years ride will benefit a Guatemala fresh water service project that some Furman students are heading up. The students will have info. at the ride start and will manage the Lake Robinson breaks. We suggest a $15 donation. 100% will go directly to the Guatemalan water project. For more info on this ride please click HERE
